Promoting fresh aquaculture and fisheries products of Cyprus (Tender #: 7/2013, ANETEL)

Project Description:
The project was implemented by the joint venture MER Lab Ltd & A.L Earnestine Ltd and had three main objectives:

  1. A first of its kind fish festival was successfully hosted at Protaras (Paralimni) on 30th of August 2013. At the festival hundreds of visitors had the opportunity to taste fresh fish, observe traditional crafts demonstrations such as fisheries net knitting, fish filleting, see various Cypriot Traditional Products, and also enjoy a traditional Music and Dance Program.
  2. An advertisement campaign had been being carried out in order to promote and inform the public on fresh fishery and aquaculture products of Cyprus. The campaign included Radio and TV advertisements, articles and advertisements in popular newspapers and magazines.
  3. Six seminars were given at all districts of Cyprus the autumn of 2013 informing the public (mainly students and consumers) about the fishery and aquaculture products of Cyprus. The content of the seminars can be accessed here.
