Christina received her BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of East Anglia (England) and her MSc in Marine Applied Sciences from the University of Plymouth (England). In her undergraduate dissertation she investigated “How the age and size of invasive lionfish (Pterois miles) affects their prey consumption, in Cyprus” and her postgraduate dissertation studied “Why the range of the Tufted Ghost crab (Ocypode cursor) is rapidly expanding in the Mediterranean”.

Christina has always been very active with environmental matters and had a strong affinity for the ocean. She has worked for environmental research and conservation organisations around the world, like Operation Wallacea, Wildlife Ecological Investments, The Wildlife Trusts, Friends of the Earth Cyprus, Field Studies Council and more. Moreover, she has participated in international conferences and forums promoting ocean conservation.

Her love for the marine environment doesn’t only show from her professional career but also from her hobbies. She is an avid scuba diver and a certified NAUI Master Scuba Diver.
